The Bid Capital!

The Bid Capital isn’t like tons of other cafes crowding the city. Located on FC road, it has surely incorporated some off beat concepts.
To start with, they’ve gone paperless requirin\ng you to order for food and beverages through their app. They have free WiFi and hence you do not have to worry about downloading it once you reach there. Using the app,you can call for the waiter and keep a track of your order as well saving you the hassle of calling someone.

Another interesting feature is that there is a common tv screen there through which you can see who has been ordering which drink in the entire restaurant along with the current price. Once you place an order ,just bid an amount close to the total and you might end up saving some money afterall.
Also, instead of happy hours ,they have this concept of hyperbid which lasts for 5-7 mins every now and then where a few drinks are available at exceptional prices . The app notifies you about it and hence you don’t have to worry about missing it.

Coming to the interiors, The Bid Capital operates like a cafe/ work place during the day and tunes into a party place every night . The outdoor area has cute tables and vertical gardening giving it a very lively vibe whereas the indoors are cozy and dimly lit. They have also a small smoking area.

Cocktails

Illusionist : The Bid Capital has changed the cocktail game with this creation. Alcohol frappe is just killing it. A chocolate frappe with cream and coffee beans on the top had the base of brandy. Must try.

Child’s Play: Bournvita with rum! Sounds brilliant right? Well, tastes even better.

Hikoni: This one is sort of spicy with Indian cocktail feels.

Raspberry and Thyme Martini: The thyme goes very well with raspberry and it’s a treat in all them terms. Not very strong, you can keep sipping on this one .

Starters

House cooked Nachos :The usual nachos topped with salsa and sauces. I wouldn’t really prefer this one.

Crispy Fried Prawns : Marinated prawns were dipped in a batter and fried. Though the prawns tasted well, the covering was a little oily and chewy.

Rosemary Chicken Tikka: Soft pieces of chicken which was well flavored with rosemary, a good option as a bar bite . Heads up for this starter.

Sichuan Pepper and Veg Dim Sums : A very good attempt at veg dimsums. This starter is only for a specific group of people especially those who are fond of vegetarian dimsums.

Amritsari Spiced Fish and Chips : An Amritsari tadka to the usual Fish n chips, this one was a fun dish to have. Also, it can compliment you beer really well.

Paneer Kurchan Tacos : This dish deserves a special mention. An absolutely extraordinary paneer starter. Minced paneer with balanced spices were stuffed in thick tacos. Go for it!

Mutton Seekh Kabab: Another fantastic starter. Mutton pieces with light flavors and without a strong smell of meat is laudable.

Main Course

Mushroom Rissoto: Very few places can ace a rissoto, and The Bid Capital surely has done it. A very comforting and well made dish with cheese shreds over it and the taste of mushroom kept intact.

Dal Makhni and butter naan: A good dal Makhni is always a treat to have. This one surely did justice to it. The gravy had the right consistency ,was creamy and the dal was cooked just right.

Kaeng Ped Veg: A dish very similar to Thai curry but with more powerful flavors. It Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed the basil and coconut milk flavor with chopped veggies.

Kaeng Ped Prawns: This one is the same as Kaeng Ped veg expect it has prawns in it. Also, the prawns tasted fresh and well cooked. You can totally dig into this one without giving it a second thought.

Chandani Chowk ka Butter Chicken: This one isn’t like the usual sweet butter chicken but instead is on the salty-spicier side. It can get a little overwhelming but overall it’s a nice dish.

Desserts –

Tiramisu in a jar: A regular tiramisu in a pot with a slight mint flavor, this one lacked any surprise element and was very normal.

Chocolate Sphere: A chocolate ball with edible butterflies on it and ice cream inside. An excellent effort at presentation and the chocolate is a delight.

Cheesecake: Classic New York style cheesecake. Tasted wonderful though the consistency could be better.
